Whoa, how did it get to be December 4!? I’m planning a Christmas Eve Smorgasbord for my family. But first I need to check off my holiday gift list. With a large family, keeping track of shopping used to be hard. So I created lists like the ones below. I add ideas as they occur to me during the year. I include notes, like sizes and birth dates. And I keep track of prices to help stay within my budget. I’ve attached two versions of the list. The docx version is for word processor users. The PDF version is for the rest of you.

How To Use Your Gift List
The docx version can be used with Microsoft Word and other popular word processors. I added some text to give you an idea of what you can include. To start your own version, simply delete the text below the headings and replace with your own. The template comes with tabs set to .5 inch. That makes it easy to edit. You can change anything you want, including headings, text size and colors. After customizing your list you can reset the tabs if you like.
For the PDF version, if you want to enter your info on a computer you’ll need a PDF editor. Otherwise you can print the list and enter your details the old fashioned way….by hand :-).
At year’s end I copy my list and save it for the next year. I keep the old one to remind me what I gave last time. I don’t want to give Uncle Bob a tie three times in row :-).
