We had a little earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area last week. It reminded me to update my Emergency Information template and supplies. To help you do that too, and in recognition of National Preparedness Month, I’ve attached my Emergency Information template for you to download free. It’s one of two record keeping templates available at Habitudes, my personal record keeper website. You can fill in the template using Microsoft Word or most common word processors.

Emergency Information Includes
Things You May Not Have Thought of.
The most important emergency info is on the first page of the template. Even if you don’t use all five pages, fill out and print the first page. Keep it on the fridge or bulletin board where your family, babysitter or house sitter can find it easily. But check the rest of the pages, too. They include information you might not have thought of. If the babysitter gets locked out, who has keys to your home besides you? If Fido swallows his toy where is the nearest 24 hour veterinarian? If there’s a false alarm, how do you disable the smoke detector? In an emergency, where are the go-bag and emergency supplies and what’s in them? (The template includes checklists you can edit to fit your own family’s needs.)
If you like Emergency Information, consider
downloading What My Family Needs to Know.
What My Family Needs to Know is $19.95 to download at Habitudes . Like Emergency Information, it’s carefully compiled to include details you might not have thought of. Examples? The code to the public storage unit and a list of what’s in it. How to shut down your social media accounts in case you die. Where you keep the home inventory. It’s 14 pages when downloaded, but may be longer or shorter depending on how complicated your life is. One of the best things about our personal record keepers is they can be customized and edited to your heart’s content to meet your family’s unique needs.
